RICKY PARKER
Ricky Parker is an educator, strategic advisor, and award-winning creative with a passion for community building and social impact. Formerly Vice President of Community & Business Development at JPMorgan Chase, he now advises athletes, universities, and small businesses on shaping narratives that drive growth.
As Founding Director of the Hip-Hop Studies Program at Virginia Union University, he created pioneering courses and events dedicated to preserving and advancing the state’s Hip-Hop culture. A broker and collector of contemporary art and Hip-Hop artifacts, Parker also co-founded Shockoe Wine and leads ventures bridging business, art, and advocacy.
His commitment to uplifting marginalized voices is reflected in board service with Art 180, The Poe Museum, and Firehouse Theatre, as well as his role as Vice Chair of the Richmond Public Art Commission.
