Chauncey Jenkins, professionally known as Chance Fischer, is a multifaceted visionary whose work bridges the worlds of food, wine, luxury hospitality, lifestyle branding, and hip-hop to foster meaningful, authentic connection.
Chauncey has led acclaimed beverage and hospitality programs at some of Richmond, Virginia’s most elite venues, including Lemaire—the crown jewel of the Jefferson Hotel—and Common House, an innovative social club that blends upscale dining with curated cultural events. As Director of Beverage and Hospitality, he co-founded the Secret Supper Society, a groundbreaking dining series known for its rotating chefs, unique locations, and immersive culinary storytelling.
A recipient of the Elby Award for Hospitality MVP and a Style Weekly 40 Under 40 honoree, Chauncey has been widely recognized for his impact on the industry. His expertise has been featured in Food & Wine, Essence, DuJour, and Richmond Magazine. As wine director for the Black-owned Shockoe Wine, he played a pivotal role in elevating Virginia’s wine scene and amplifying Black voices within the industry. He has also contributed his leadership to organizations such as the Downtown Neighborhood Association, The Veraison Project, and currently serves on the advisory board of BLKRVA.
Beyond hospitality, as Chance Fischer, he commands the stage as an artist, having opened for acts like Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and Talib Kweli. His music has been highlighted in RESPECT Magazine and Pigeons & Planes, and he continues to collaborate with Richmond’s creative leaders, including DJ Harrison, No BS Brass Band, Michael Millions, and Noah-O—always with an eye toward innovation and cultural resonance.
